Why FireFox - you may ask? Well, there are a lot of reasons for that, but most important one is that FireFox really does care about your online privacy. I have no desire to feed MS and Google's Big Data servers with my sensitive information. At last we are talking about protecting our cryptomining farm from “probably yet unknown” security threats, in such a case we should take every possible measure to prevent a malicious actor from stealing our hard mined coins.

Once again, it's up to you, I can't insist. But my choice is FireFox.

Installing via full (off-line) installer

This is a recommended way of installing FireFox on freshly installed Windows computer. Download Firefox before installing Windows and put it onto the same bootable USB media. If you are installing Windows don't enable internet connection until you've completed Block Windows Update step. So, I'll repeat it once again - please, download FireFox before installing Windows.

  1. Search for the language of your choice or just scroll down the page to locate it.
  2. Click a download link in the Windows 64-bit column.
  3. Wait for download to complete and copy the downloaded file to your USB drive.
  4. You'll be able to run the installer later for your freshly installed Windows machine even without a network connection.

Installing via stub (on-line) installer

  1. Click the blue IE icon on taskbar.
  2. Click the Close button to close the setup page.
