Adding a directory to exclusions list of an antivirus program is always a questionable practice, but I prefer to use https://www.virustotal.com service for checking all of my downloads before using it for the first time, and keep the folder ''c:\bin\rigutils'' in exclusions list of Windows Defender Antivirus to prevent it from [[https://www.reddit.com/r/MoneroMining/comments/aipomg/possible_trojan_in_xmr_stak_windows_binary/|false-positive]] detection of viruses in miners. Another option is to disable Windows Defender completely, but I would advise against such a radical action.
