User Account Control or UAC for short is just an absurd and annoying Windows feature which may prevent automatization of some tasks. Looks like guys at Redmond never heard about sudo and were forced into reinvention of wheel.


You can disable UAC either manually by following this how-to or by running the script DisableUAC.bat


STEP 1. Open UAC settings

  1. Type UAC in the search box located at taskbar (or call one by pressing WIN LOGO + S)
  2. Click “Open”

STEP 2. Adjust slider position

  1. Drag the slider down
  2. Click “OK” button

  1. Click “YES” button
  2. Reboot your PC
